What’s in the Basketball Collection

The groups we sort the basketball inventory into — from the early Fleer era through today’s Panini rookies.

Vintage & Fleer Era

Topps vintage, Fleer, NBA Hoops, and early Upper Deck. The years that established basketball as a card category in its own right. Every card’s year, set and card number confirmed, with corners, edges and centering noted honestly.

90s Inserts & Chrome

Refractors, die-cuts and short-print inserts from the decade that invented chase cards. These are scarcer than the base cards from the same years, and condition separates a good copy from a great one.

Modern Rookies

Panini Prizm, Select, Donruss Optic and Topps Chrome, including rookies and parallels. Check the parallel and any serial numbering carefully — it is what separates two copies of the same card.

Graded Slabs

We sell raw singles and graded slabs from PSA, Beckett (BGS), CGC, SGC, GMA and BCCG. PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC are the most widely recognized; GMA and BCCG are budget graders that buyers typically value lower. We list the grader on every slab so you know exactly what you’re buying, and every cert number is verified before it lists.

What We Carry

Here’s how we sort basketball — by format, so you know exactly what you’re buying before you click.

Inventory note

We list only cards we physically hold. New cards from these groups list every week. Deep inventory that grows every week, and the live eBay store shows exactly what’s in stock, with year, set, card number and condition on every listing.

For New Collectors

New to Basketball Cards? Start Here.

Basketball has more sets per year than almost any other sport, which is exactly why new collectors get lost. Three things worth knowing before you spend anything.

1

Learn the set year before the player.

A basketball card’s identity is year, set and card number — not just the name on the front. Two cards that look almost identical in a photo can come from completely different sets, which is why the year and set matter more than the picture.

2

Know your parallel from your base card.

Modern basketball is built on parallels — the same card in different colors, finishes and serial-numbered runs. A shiny card is not automatically a rare card. Check the parallel name and any numbering before you assume you found a chase card.

3

Buy raw first, grade later.

Grading costs money and takes time, and not every card is worth it. Start with raw singles you like, learn to judge condition yourself, and only slab the cards that genuinely deserve it.
